What is the best 05-09 GT exhaust setup?

I've heard some loud ones but the loudest I've heard is H pipe with no cats and slp's
How loud are the slp's by themselves?
Any other loud exhaust set ups because I'm going to be getting a 05-09 GT soon and I wanted to put the loudest setup on it but not spend a whole lot of money (headers, full exhaust systems, etc.)

They sound a hell of alot better than stock. Stock has that distinct GT rumble, but SLP's sound deeper and louder but not obnoxious. I love mine but i cant wait to put my Offroad H on...

Flowmasters super 10s with a catless x pipe and 3in exhaust pipe...
Or just straight pipe but that sounds awful...

I know... I'm the guy who makes the cars obnoxious, and the guy who makes them quiet again. Wether they can't tolerate the noise or the police make them change their exhaust...

Hahaha novice... Try headers on a Porsche, he'd ***** himself...
That was a little too insulting, my fault.
I don't even think I use "too" correctly. Ah, don't care...

Nate we seem to always get off topic on nearly every thread...
Anyway doesn't matter, the mufflers that are to the point of stupid loud are:
Flowmasters super 10s
Borla ataks
SLP LM1
FRPP M55
Longtubes with catless x pipe and any of these mufflers will make you deaf...

"Best?"

LT's
Catted-H
Mid-muffler

The best sounding exhaust system isn't the loudest. At least on the 3v. It needs a lot of refinement, at least from my experience.

Yeah loudest doesn't usually work out to best and that is definitely the case for the 3v

Flowmaster 10 series are the deepest and loudest sounding setup you will get (keeping stock mid section and cats) and its cheap. Right around 350 installed. The flowmaster outlaws or Borlas are slightly louder but they add in a ton of drone and rasp with that. IMO If you want to stay deep+Loud+ Mean, than flowmaster 10s are your only option. They are about 70$ each at autozone or amazon. I have tried almost every axle back and Flowmaster 10s were by far the best IMO

Here are two videos of mine. Its a lot louder and deeper in person. Youtube does it 0 justice. The 10 series make the car sound very VERY similar to the 04 2v V8 motor. Just make sure you use good speakers when watching

Hope this helps!

Borlas have zero drone. Outlaws have a ton actually just to clarify your response. I haven borlas on my car

Call it a hum then? I had them on my car the attaks. at 60mph+ in cruse control it was just a solid constant Hum sound. All in all they just had a raspy more noise than anything else sound. The Flowmaster 10s have a loud, deep and mean sound. I love them!

IMO chambered mufflers sound best on the 4.6L. The straight through design aka Borla/Flowmaster Outlaws are better on the 5.0

I don't have any hum sound or resonance in my car. Only the sound coming out the actual exhaust. Maybe you had something loose. Or maybe u didn't have a newer 5.0 be idk what your last car was. If it was a 3.7 or 4.0 it's likely you did hear a constant hum

He was asking about that 4.6L V8 and thats what I have. If you have a 5.0 its going to sound totally different. What sounds good on a 5.0 may sound like crap on a 4.6 or vise versa. This is a section for the 05-10 4.6L v8 not 2011+ 5.0s

I had a 2010 4.6 had Pyle bombs on it along with super 10s. Neither sounded bad.

I had a friend with an old straight piped 5.0. The guy had to keep ear plugs in his car. Louder is for sure not always better.

I just had my off road h installed today with slp's ...and man hearing in person it's TOTALLY different than watching videos. I would say its subtle enough to ease by cops with but when you punch it "***** sounds f*cking violent" i love this set up hands down

I had a very similar setup. O/R H + Borla axle-backs. 2000-2500 RPM sounded like WOT, but slow as balls, so there was no fun in it. Had resonators mid-mounted a week later. It all comes down to personal preference.
