Switch back to stock tune?

I have a 2005 mustang GT (auto )
supposedly has a quick shift kit on it

and a custom tune since it revs up high when it starts ect..
im not really a fan of the custom tune and since i dont have the money for a good CAI i want to just take it to the dealer for a re-flash to stock.

Any thoughts?

I'm pretty sure you need the tune to run that intake manifold.

What dieseven said, you NEED a tune to use that intake manifold.

Just get a different tune.

Yes. You can buy the handheld tuner from BAMA and do it all yourself. It is extremely simple and they provide you with more than enough instruction in case you have any trouble! You won't be able to go back to stock, obviously (because of the mods you have AND because the car doesn't have the stock tune to begin with). But you'll be able to change the tune to allow your mods to work together, and control the features such as the high revving. Their STREET tune should be exactly what you are looking for.

Buying the BAMA tunes/x4 handheld will allow you to change the tune as you progress/remove parts from you car with their Tunes for Life.

Yes, you can. Just get a different custom tune, I'd recommend Steeda.

$600 is FAR, FAR too much. They are trying to rip you off.

the tune it has now makes it rev to 3k rpm upon cold start and is just jumpy. it feels like a racing tune. idk if that makes extra wear on the engine and tranny?

Used one is married to the first car, so you would have to pay to unlock it. Dyno tune is good, but data logging on the street is the best way, although that will usually require a 3rd gear pull to redline, usually about 120 mph. You can dyno in 4th gear for that part of the datalog.

Don't go with Bama. Steeda between those 2. Bama has had many problems, Steeda has never had issues.
