I decided to go with the Cushman Motorsports cams stage 1. I will have the cams installed and tuned on the 9th of March. I will report the results then.

Stage 1? Not much more aggressive than stock.

I just got some FRPP Hot Rod Cams, I'm Going to try to do the install myself. Has anyone else done their own installation? Is it hard?

Car made 340hp and 326rwt with the Cushman Cams. Not bad hp numbers, because the clutch was slipping. New clutch is next. Any suggestions?

What about doing the install without removing the roller followers?

Just take the caps off carefully and make sure things don't move. Go slow, and take time. There are a couple videos on youtube of cam installs.

You don't need to take the followers off... get a chain tensioner tool for the timing chain and then remove the actuator leaving the chain on it. Make a mark just in case. Remove cam caps and then the cam. Put new can in torquing from middle to out

Correct. When the car made 340hp it was with a custom dyno tune.

I have a guy in Charlotte NC that does all my tuning and does most of my installs. He will be putting 3.73 in my car in two weeks.

That depends on what your goals are. Do you plan on go forced induction or stay naturally aspirated?

If you go n/a you will need to go with a forged stroker motor. So companies sale them from $3500 - &7000 for a short block. You can put f/I on the car from $5000.00 to $7000 or more depending on what you want to spend. I'm going to go with a Whipple charge in the future.
