Driver side front braking problem
Okay guys I've been off the forums for a while been busy with a new job. I really need the magical DIY dust you guys have been spreading across the Internet to help me out with this problem. Just bought an 05 GT. The dealer resurfaced the rotors right before I bought it (so they say) I get the car home and it's good, drive it about a week and i start hearing a squeaking coming from the driver side front wheel, it gets louder coming around turns. I replace the wheel bearing and now when I press the brake pedal there is a metallic thunk and that damn squeaking is there. So I replace the pads and the caliper. Nothing changes. Except the squeaking is more low pitch. It's a rhythmic as well. Now I know you guys are going to tell me to replace the rotor which is my plan for tomorrow. Only question I really have is could a warped rotor really be causing this much of a problem? I mean the thunk only happens when I press the brake and it sounds like medal on medal that's why I replaced the caliper I figured it wasn't keeping the pads in place but it's still there even after I replaced the caliper.. Does this sound like it's only a rotor or what else should I be looking for.
