You don't have resonators to begin with so I don't understand that last bit.

I still have cats not cammed. My buddy thought the 2007 mustang GT had resonators and he suggested I get them removed and weld a straight pipe in its place .. He said it would be sooo much louder...But as it turns out the other forum members say that the 05-09 do not have resonators which is very weird never heard of it ... CUZ the 10-14 do ., odd

I took all the exhaust piping off my car multiple times and eventually I went straight piped with flow masters not once did I come across a resonator when testing different setups

Never saw a resonator on an 07 mustang? If so weird ford didn't include for 05-09 there is no logical explanation why :/

Your friend was definitely thinking of the 11-14 GTs. The 05-10 don't for sure, as we've both confirmed.

Pretty sure 10s didn't have resonators either, I straight piped my buddy's 10 GT and didn't notice any resonators, and it was the original system...
But coyote mustangs had them for sure, 3Vs nope...

The 2v 4.6 didn't have any resonators... They had 3 sets of catalytic converters instead for an even stranger reason...

EXHAUST HELP!!!!

Just more things to break and have you come to the dealer and spend more money, and I believe it was limited space underneath. But you're right 6 converters is pushing it...

The 2v Mustangs actually got it the best with their ability to have mid-mounted muffler systems. MM systems sound way better than axle-backs IMO.

So when you mid mount on a 3v do you just bring the 2.5 in piping out the back and weld a tip onto it or What?

I haven't had a 3V in my shop for a while, did an axel back pypes for an 07 a few weeks ago, but it might be possible. The saddle gas tank could be an issue, though...

To get the most out of flowmasters you really need a few feet of tail pipe, axel backs have good sound. But a mid mounted system could sound better. I like the Roush extreme system and its a mid mounted muffler system...

Saddle gas tank and two piece driveshaft caused muffler location issues....
My guess...
