Yeaaaah... Remember how I had the coyote mounted to the TR3650 until a MT82 or 6R80 came along? Wellll I set the rev limiter to 6k as to not destroy the 3650 and never set it back to 7.2k once I picked up the MT82. That was a huge mistake on my end. Totally different beast now.

You were completely right, rap. It wasn't setup correctly. Thank you for saying something. I drove this beast around for what seemed like forever today and I even giggled a few times. It really made my day.

Hey Cbird, if you don't mind me asking, how much did the swap cost?

It's all about the smiles per gallon

Love the look of the 3V but hate the 3V itself. Coyote swapped 05-09 car (especially one with a GT500 frontend) is like... best of all worlds IMO. Post pics!

Also yeah I was going to say... its pretty well documented that many ppl find the Coyote "underwhelming" until it gets modded but then when it does...

I would give up my 2013 most likely for a gray or silver 05-09 with complete cervinis kit (including side exhaust and rear tails) and the 5.0 swap. Condition would have to match mine however and some money may have to be exchanged one way or another.

I've seen the Cervinis kit in person... just too much "cladding" going on if you know what I mean. YMMV, and you know what they say about opinions...

Oh no, I see what you mean. The front isn't my favorite but a necessary evil.

Said it before and I'll say it again, the stock 05-09 body with the OEM GT500 front end is just gorgeous, not a ton going on, just looks... good. Pair it up with the OEM GT500 wing, some real nice wheels and a stance and bang. I've been banging around CL for a clean 05-09 V6 white with a black interior that has a blown motor and is getting let go for cheap. Good roller for a Coyote swap and best of all worlds IMO. What all 05-09s should have looked like but with the lighter more capable Coyote in place of the iron 5.4L.

Depends what you're looking for tbh... IMO 400ish whp is perfect for the street so I'd just boost the 3v but thats just me

Yeah but a 400hp Coyote is going to demolish a 400hp 2V or 3V. Not to mention the Coyote gets there with a few bolt ons and a tune vs maxing out the stock motor with a supercharger. And then the Coyote guy can throw a medium sized shot of Nitrous on there to deal with other stuff when the need arises.

I **** you not, a guy I went to tech school was convinced that "every time you use Nitrous its like putting 5,000 miles on your motor". Roffles.

You also have to factor in the added cost of buying a new car and then adding bolt ons vs. Modding your current car

Done the math, Coyote is more cost effective unless you legit do a cheap SN95 with cheap mods and a Vortech and leave the 4 link in place out back. And then you have a car that'll still get raped by the Coyote in the straight line and REALLY raped by it around corners. And is also a decade and a half older so #oldcarmaintenance.

As much **** as I talk about finding another SN95 or a cheap 05-09 car to work on... I will almost 100% be in a Lava Red or White 11/12 Coyote for my next Mustang because I'd rather drop $20k on a newer, very capable Mustang that needs almost nothing to run 11s vs $20k on a 15-20 year old car that needs a ton of work just to start to get to the same level.

Remember Scotty, this is the 05-09 section. OP doesn't have a 4 link lol

Lol ok, then find a low mileage unmolested 3V for less than $12k if even that. Ppl still think they are worth KBB for some reason... not with the glut of Coyotes out there at $20k.

You probably could have got a Coyote... maybe... At least at the 3V prices I see around here where dudes are trying to get $16k for a 2008 Mustang GT with 60k miles. Check out your local Credit Unions, in my experience they always have the best rates. For used vehicle loans, mine does 2.25% on 3 years, 2.5% on 4 years and 2.75% on 5 years. Compared to my old bank offering me 8%... lolz.

Mutual funds and Roth Ira.... Mostly the Mutual Funds since i can play with those more freely. My Average annual return for the last 4 years is like 11.3%. So once i have a good foundation and more income i'll play with stocks.
