Shelby GT is NA, not sure the #'s but probably nothing special. However, the Shelby GT-SC is supercharged. Don't know the numbers on that one either.

I figured you were talking about the 08 gt500.

I don't consider the Shelby GT anything but a 3v

I know what it is. I was meaning that's all I consider it. I do not look at it as a Shelby.

Lol if you want a 3v there is nothing wrong with that at all, just hopefully the OP won't spend thay money on some shelby badges. Get a normal 3v and use the extra money for exhaust cams etc.

You could just build the 4.6 and supercharge it. But if you want a Shelby go for it

What can you afford is the question, I drove a 08 GT500 and it was nice, but you could tell it was starting to show its age. Then of course they had a 14 GT500 that I drove and it was like wow! But could not afford the 60K price tag! So I settled with my 14 Saleen for 36K! It you go with the 5.0 I would try to find one that already has the Track Package which include the upgraded brakes and 3.73 gears already installed!

08-12 Gt500 needs alot of work to be fast. Sure they put down nice #'s but that's about it. Anything prior to 13+ needs a blower swap.

13 & 14's were advertised at 420 at the Flywheel! would have to check on the 11 & 12's but pretty close to that also.
