Straight piping

I have an 08 gtcs, and would really like to straight pipe it but I'm hesitant because after I straight piped my truck the tranny went bad after a month, any thoughts? Could straight piping hurt my car?

Don't straight pipe, go with a cat delete and axle back mufflers, that will be plenty of sound

According to my warranty company the exhaust will affect the tranny! They told me they weren't honoring my warranty when my tranny blew because I had installed aftermarket dual exhaust pipes๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

I ran straight pipes for about a day... Take it from others who have done it, we don't advise it lol.

I ran straight pipes then put flow masters mufflers on it because mine was way too loud and raspy but with the flows it sounds amazing people are always asking what exhaust I have lol

I just straight piped a friends 10 GT, mid pipe delete and muffler delete, he gave me a call a few minutes ago saying his car was running like s***. But if you want to strait pipe it go ahead, I can promise you that it won't be like that for long...

Well if you cut it at the mid pipe then yeah it had zero back pressure

And I'm pretty sure you if you cut the mid pipe off, you can't run the 4.6 3V without a balanced exhaust system because of its firing order

Word of advice just put mufflers on it, it will sound better than strait piping it. If you want a loud system then mid mount some glasspacks or something...

Straight piping

It will sound like garbage. Literally, I've heard straight piped cars and they sound like dump trucks driving away

I make strait pipe cars, and still to this day there hasn't been one that I've even remotely thought sound decent...
Just put some Borlas or some super 10s and be done with it...

yeah zero back pressure sounds like getting shot at sometimes lol if you do run straight pipes like I did with the 2.5 inch piping then put at least 6 inches of 2 inch piping at the back to keep pressure, this is exactly what I did and it ran fine until I got tired of the rasp it makes though!
