Bama

I just put a 93oct performance tune on my 2006 gt automatic and when I drove it seemed touchy at first and I figured it was the tune so I got on it and the rpm when over 6000 into the red alittle and shifted hard so I pulled over and set the drive shift rpm to 6075.. what should I set it too because now it's not as touchy

How far into the red did it go? The majority of people will say 6500 is an ok place to set your red line. However there is also a very small group of people who disagree and say to leave it at Ford's 6000rpm redline. My car is set at 6500. I'm assuming the Bama tune has already preset your car to have a 6500rpm red line, and if it was my car I would leave it there and run the tune the way they gave it to you, unless it is too touchy. I'm not really Sure what's contributing to the change in touchyness, is it possible that it was just a placebo affect type thing?

I assume you mean the throttle response was very "touchy". That is one of the main things people want out of a tune is to get rid of the damn throttle lag with the drive by wire setup.

I've never dealt with an auto in these but were you WOT to get the car to run all the way to 6K+? Stock Bullitt's and after market tunes will go 6250-6500 no problem, although I rarely hit red line with a stick.

After market tunes historically firm up automatic shifts, which is much better for the tranny overall.
