Blown!!!

So back in August last year I had my 06 rebuilt with forged seal power piston, rings,.etc. A 6 bolt Ford Racing crank and other that I don't feel like listing. It took the guy 5 damn months to do the rebuild in the end when I got it back he charged me $7500, long story short to be able to get my car out of the shop asap he screwed me big time! Now not even 2 months after I have my car back and running im on the freeway and my knocking comes back! same sound as before!

So im going to court eventually with this guy because I want my damn money back for a completely bull**** rebuild! but what I plan on doing if I can convince my wife is use the money from court if I win to either 1) rebuild it again or 2) buy a 5.0 and just do a swap for about the same cost but it would be way faster.

But the question is if I did a 5.0 swap will my transmission bolt up to it? Also I have found the 5.0 with transmission and would that work with my drive line? Please any help is helpful this is my daily driver and I need to get it back on the road asap, Thanks!!!!!!!!

Definetly save the hassle and get a 5.0. Your tranny should bolt up no problem because it is still a modular motor. Not sure about the driveline..

Also 7500 seems Pretty ridiculous lol

Lmao dam that sucks. Obviously you went to someone who has no experience and/or reputation building modular motors.

Or he never did the rebuild in the first place. Just rigged it. Bc how would you ever know what actually went back in the block???

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Mustang Evolution mobile app

Having a 5.0 in that body style would be sweet. I sometimes wish I would have gone that route

I keep hoping someone with that completed in a color that works for me would like to trade for a 2013, or mine gets paid off in a couple years and I can come across a 5.0 swapped s197.

Keep it classy and keep it clean. Keep your receipts and take lots of pics. You have a build thread started now?
