Correct me if I'm wrong here...but this isn't your thread. This isn't your build. This is about someone asking about what is the "absolute best engine oil"

This thread is worthless anyway. As the question is subjective and dependent on so many variables.

Because you said royal purple was the best...you didn't refer to your build specifically "bud"

By simply commenting royal purple, you made out that royal purple was the best. Hence the title of the forum "bud"

IG @Oxford5pointoh

Not at all...oil is broken down into many categories for testing and labs test dozens of oils by each category. Pennzoil platinum usually comes out on top 90% of the time

Wix is definitely a good solid oil filter just as Napa Gold filters. I was looking for a filter with a synthetic media and from my research the Royal Purple Entended life oil filters were rated top. Right with Amsoil filters. I'm changing my oil now at the 10k mile oil change interval.

Have a great day!

I'm gonna just skip the oil and pour in 8 full quarts of Z-Max. I saw info mercials at 4a.m. And yeah......that stuff is the shiznit!
It's usually sold in 12 ounce bottles for $24.
So at $64 a quart, it must be the best.....plus.....infomercial Yo.
That's how I found out about my intake Tornado too.

* But seriously folks, for those that really worry about engine protection and preserving their Mustangs, THERE IS A REAL PLACEBO EFFECT in which putting in "expensive better quality" oil and or very expensive hyped additives actually makes YOU feel like your car runs smoother, lasts longer and is clean as a whistle inside the engine. If you're that much into worrying about it and it makes you FEEL like it's all super duper protected, then it's worth it....to you. You'll enjoy your Mustang experience more and that's what it's all about.
For me though, I slap in whatever full syn 5w20 is on sale, twist on a FoMoCo filter and I feel good.

I still say this

Use any brand motor oil that uses this seal. Use the proper viscosity and change it when your supposed to and you will never have any problems with lubrication at all.
That is if > You keep the "Snake Oil Crap' out of your crank case.

Nope. And that's a very broad statement seeing as higher rpm motors will blow with oil that thin. Not to mention the original spec for the regular 4.6 is 5w30. 5w20 is a CAFE thing only.

My thought is the oil filter quality is more important than the synthetic oil brand used.

Actually if you really want to get technical and find out how your car does with certain brands get an oil analysis done. Most start around $25.
