500rwhp 3V

Looking to boost my bolton 3v. 2006 with 88k on it.. I have mutha thumpr cams and headers, would either of those help me with going FI? I have a cai, but I know the air intake wont be used. The person that works on my car said that these cams wouldn't work well with a roots/twinscrew due to them having a lot of overlap. He said they'd work best with nitrous, possibly work with a centrifugal.

I was looking at either a procharger or a vortech supercharger. I'm guessing 10lbs of boost is the max to keep it safe, so would a good fuel system, intercooled setup, plus one of those on 10lbs get me to 500rwhp safely since I'm only at 10lbs of boost?

That's my idea setup, anyone else have any other advice?

I'm by no means an expert however from my knowledge 500rwhp is possible on a stock internals 3v, but is towards the risky side. Most guys shoot for the 450rwhp range just to play it safe. With that out of the way, I'd also like to suggest the On3 turbo kit, I don't personally have Any experience with the kit but several forum members have the kit and are satisfied. Its a lot cheaper than a procharger or vortech and might be compatible with your cams. The amount of boost you will need to make 500rwhp will vary depending on which kit you pick and the supporting mods that you have so it could be less than 10lbs. I would be sure that whatever kit you choose has an intercooler, like you said, with as much power as your hoping to get you will most likely need it. I also think a BAP would work for your fuel system. It seems to me that you have a pretty good grasp on everything. Good luck with your build.

The engine won't last long at 500 on stock internals.
