From what I've heard they're pretty solid but lowering anything you'll feel more of the road. Driving a lowered car, you'll need to be much more aware of your surroundings. I.e You're going to be dodging potholes and you'll need to be a little more careful pulling up to a parking spot so you don't wreck your chin!
Something I'd suggest doing if you're going to have the car lowered would be to swap your Struts and Shocks
for a couple reasons. First the cars coming up on 10 years and just like a pitchers arm, wear and tear happens. Another reason would be that if you do just springs without them it's going to be a little on the "bouncy" side - Not like a 30 year old Caddy but you'll notice it. Aftermarket Struts and Shocks are going to be valved for a lowered setup and you can't go wrong.
