Hahahhahhaha. Look at that power curve.. that's because of the cams liking high rpm.. God grab some beehive springs and new retainers and let's used the power up top

Most shops will give you a smoothing 5 for a "prettier" graph.

Bc most people have no idea what they are looking at when they see a graph. So they will print there sheet as the one OP posted.
80% of people just look at the # when they pick the car up, blinded by everything else.

Smoothing on 5 is simply, like the guy earlier had stated for the purpose of making the line smoother. Operating a dyno for going past 13 years I can honestly say as much as I might despise someone it's impossible to hide anything on the graph. Only way to truly lie is to label another person's graph with your name or change the correction factor to display an extra hp or 2. SAE is the general standard of crrecrion. Other than that there's no way. Smoothing 1 thru 5 is for eliminating the dynos common magnetic pickups unfortunate habit of wavy power curves typically caused by interference. Bud honestly next time u hit the track throw in some 100 octane and let's see if the knocks are pulling timing. But I would strongly recommend a solid set of Crane valve springs and some quality retainers that way we can raise the Rev limit, get your rpms on the track in the most beneficial area and utilize those cams. Think about this for a sec. Take your graph and on the curve mark a vertical line where your gear starts and mark where it finishes. Then split that area into a length of time. If you spend say 3.3 seconds climbing thru every gear and 3 seconds of that are spent below 400hp then your car is essentially a 360-390 HP car for 80-90% of your overall track duration. You might make over 400 but for how much of the time on the track are u driving it over 400 hp.. if we can get your valve train to Ike 7000 rpm then in turn your start of the next gear will be 1000 rpm higher in turn putting u closer if not into the 400 plus area of your power curve and in turn equating to the mph landing where it's supposed to be. Give me a sec. IL show ilu what I mean

Ask him for a sheet showing elapsed time instead of rpm

Agreed...it's not how much peak HP you are making-its how much usable hp you are making. Does the OP have a forged bottom end?
7000 rpm is forged territory with these things.

So meaning tune till the cows come home? Does this mean ( go to a new tuner)?

Hello

The never ending quest to go a little faster.

12K and you still can't find the pot of gold.

Just spend another 3k and you will get there.

STOP WASTING YOUR MONEY ON DREAM.

If you want to drive fast go to one of the NASCAR driving events.
