Changed out my cams

Just to let you all know, I ordered ford racing cams from American Muscle and used there install instructions not the ford install. Started at 8 this morning and had it started at 1:00 pm. The instructions are excellent just take your time and go word for word, it's a piece of cake. It's my 2007 GT

No,used the same ones just have to put permatex on the squares where they tell you to put them. Also no spring compressor either just a chain wedge.

Yeah I have the wedge and bought gaskets just in case I tear it some how. Did you have another set of hands or was it by yourself? Also when you torqued the cam phaser bolts in did you hold the lobe in the 12 o'clock position so it didn't turn over while you torqued the cams down?

Did it alone, had a torque wrench on the phaser and a breaker bar on the balancer. It's only 30 ft. Lbs and 90 s not that bad.

That was where I had the biggest question. Well how do you like the sound and performance?

The biggest thing is don't get nervous when you see the passenger side cam all Jacked up when you have to put the caps on because it's on a compression stroke, you have to bolt the cam down.

Well you could strap a gopro to your head, but a video of it running so we can hear it is what I was referring to.

Congratulations....cam's are on my mod "to do list". Was leaning towards one of the Comp's but I might end up changing my mind.

Curious.....AMR didn't recommend installing the Ford Racing Springs ?

Any idea how much HP you gained ?

There's a hp increase you can feel it over 3 k, the only thing I found out the hard way was you have to Change the phasers out also. They went out about 3 weeks after the cam install. Got my long tubes still waiting on my h pipes from Am it's been over a month. Than will see an increase.
