Long tube headers install on 2010 gt. Need rear o2's?

Just installed bbk long tubes on a auto gt. The extensions only fit the rear o2 sensors so we swapped the rear sensors to the front position in the collector. Do we even need to install the rears or can they just be deleted with a tune? Running off road exhaust.

Didn't even notice that. Don't do that. You can make the plugs fit the front o2s. You just have to sand down some edges or fins

Just swapped what was the rear sensors to the front into the collector. Auto parts store confirmed same part number for upstream and down. So why would it matter? Cars running fine for the most part just waiting on the tune.

Although I have 2 questions. 1 if it's the same sensor why does the front have 3 pins in the connector and the rear 2, heater? And 2 why the hell does the extensions fit the rear not the front without shaving or trimming **** down if they're different and for meant to extend the front.....

Relax a little, just shave a small pice of it not a big deal. And the rear are for cats to check if they function properly, up stream are for air and fuel reading two different sensors.

1 I am plenty relaxed, thanks.... Just doesn't add up why some of these manufacturers do dumb ****.... "let's make and include extensions with our headers that don't fit the correct sensor plug, it'll be fun"..... 2 am am aware their function is to monitor the catalytic converters. Still wanting to know why some say don't swap them if they're coming up as same part number at Autozone and online.... Just strange...

+1 Delete rears and turn off via tuner/tune.

You can Plug the rear Oxygen sensors bungs ..

You don't need them , You can have it turned off in tune .. or run them with no tune.. ( It will run RICH )
