Axelback exhaust

I am looking to order axel back exhaust for my first mod to get some noise out of my 05 gt. I'm not looking to spend like 600 on borla or anything due to the fact that I am eventually going to get an O/R x pipe , and LT headers when I have the funds. Ive been looking at SLP loudmouth axel backs, pypes pype-bomb, pypes muffler-delete, MBRP muffler-delete, and MAC boom tube. If anyone has any personal experience with any of these, any advice would be much appreciated, I'm looking for my car to be significantly louder than it is now being stock, but I always like the more throaty noise to it. Thanks for reading guys and feel free to leave any opinions or advice!

Axelback exhaust

I put some longtubes on a 08 GT a couple months ago. BBK headers, and a BBK catted X-pipe. It had Pype bombs on it. After the header install the car was significantly louder than when it arrived. Any more questions just ask.
I know this is pretty vague, but busy at the moment so I couldn't type a detailed post.

How did you like the noise of the pype bombs with the stock h pipe?

Personally, I liked it better when it arrived. After the mid pipe and header install it didn't sound good at all, to me...

That's after the install. He already had Pype bombs on the car.

Yeah I want to eventually do bbk O/R x pipe, and bbk lt headers, but that's a little ways down the roads just gettin money together for all that. I'm just looking for something now to give my car some more noise make it more noticeably louder. I watched a lot of the video on AM and they all sound pretty good but it is just a video so could sound completely different upon arrival. So I'm just trying to get a feel on what everyone thinks from personal experience

Well it sounded decent when it came in. Which I'm a fan of nice deep throaty old school muscle car sound. It didn't have that, but I'm pretty hard to please when it comes to exhaust systems.

I love the sound of my pype-bombs with the stock h-pipe. I get a lot of looks and compliments on the sound they make. I don't think they are nearly as loud as some of the reviews on AM made it sound.

I had Flowmaster American Thunder mufflers on myold 08 V6 and they sounded AMAZING. I bet they would be even better on a V8 (assuming they make these for them still). Have you checked into Flowmasters?

Yeah I have seen flowmasters they charge a lot for them like 550 for the axlebacks, which is almost equivalent to some catbacks! So I'm going for something a little cheaper cuz like I said up there I eventually plan on getting lt headers and o/r x pipe

It's all good. Just wanted to put it out there that there are other prices then AM. Also, AM price matches, so you might be able to get them to match the price and then use your forum discount to get it for like 360-370.

Don't get outlaws. Think ahead. You are going to go long tubes and off road midpipe so you need a more tame axleback

Outlaws are decently loud. The American Thunder are kind of throaty and deep. I wish they made them for the 11-14 v6. I would have got those over the Borla S types. But they didn't

Outlaws sound awful with an off road midpipe. Don't be that guy with straight pipes that everyone hates

I like the sound of the pypes and like Nate said it has a more tame noise to it especially after getting Lt and mid pipe, I'm going to buy sonicblewgt's or if that falls thru somehow I'll get slp loudmouth axlebacks

I went with Flowmaster and love them. Not too loud, but definitely better than stock. I paid around $350 installed.
