Hi everyone
Getting ready to have 4.10 gears installed.my question is,can I drive it home right after the install and load my bama tune for the new gears or will I have to load the new tune before I'm able to drive it?

All the tune will do is correct your speedo...no issue at all driving it without the tune

^ if it is an auto I would imagine the car would have a hard time figuring out when to shift

You'll want to change the tune before you drive home. Otherwise the car will shift at some funky rpms

Just upload the new tune in the parking lot. You just paid $300 for an install I'm sure they wouldn't mind you sitting in their lot for 10mins.

Just curious, doesn't the car shift at specific RPMs no matter what gears you have in the rear?

Its load vs RPM. No need to worry about the tune besides the speedo correct.
I went from 333 to 373 to 410 and the trans tune was fine each time.

That's what I thought. OP really doesn't need to worry about tuning before driving home in that case. Just watch his speed.
