A picture would help give advice. I originally went with just matte stripes and it's was a great look. I now added yellow pinstripes on the outside and it really brought them out now. Though sometimes when I see a jet black Stang with no stripes makes me wish I kept it normal but idk it comes and goes ....

I suggest doing something nobody has ever done before IMO

*note* the fail ratio greatly increases if you don't make the right choice but it will be ...... Unique

I love black with silver stripes. Matte black looks good to me as well. I had vinyl stripes which lasted a few years then started on fade. I had a friend who offered to paint them on so I went with that. If you're able to paint them on, then go for that. One benefit of having vinyl is that you can tear them off if you're unhappy or unsure. So you could do vinyl now and paint down the road like I did.

I have an '08 GT/CS and have been debating this very same thing for a long time. I too like the silver stripes, thought about the matt black (as I have them on the side) and also still like it plain. I'm convinced to leave it alone and go without. I've installed the AM matte black louvers and with the center scoop it looks pretty outstanding as is.

I too have been debating the same thing. Everyday pretty much since I bought my 05 gt convert. Stripes are on sale at AM but not sure about vinyl or just go for the paint.... Seems like u would have to get a specialist to put the vinyl on at a pretty steep cost I think?? But u can take them off if u don't like. Tough choice I think. Sorry that I don't offer any real help... Best of luck and anyone of those choices would make your car look great!

Are you considering racing stripes or a single stripe or what?

If everything seems under control, you're not going fast enough.

I like both styles. If i get the single stripe im probably gonna get the two tiny stripes that go beside it. I dont know though, been looking at alot of pictures, not sure yet.

To stripe or not to stripe

Maybe have the stripe start at the hood scoop and have it go back from there. I think that would look good. And those stripes on it are a nice touch. It breaks up the black well.

Depends on what you like, an eye catcher or something subtle. I like the red on black or silver on black. Mine is silver on black.

Gun metal grey metallic 3M stripes on black. $480 installed at a local graphics shop. It totally enhanced the look of my car. I liked the gunmetal metallic because flat black was barely noticeable. Silver and white just too bright. The gunmetal looks very dark and less noticeable on overcast days and stands out quite nice on sunny days.
It prolly added like 7hp too.

Not a fan of the Dodge stripes. I know, I know, they didn't invent them....but that's their current iconic symbol and looks kinda brand disloyal on a Mustang.
