Any experience with TruFiber hoods?

I am thinking about putting a cowl hood on my 07. Anyone have any good or bad experiences with TruFiber fiberglass hoods or any other brand for that matter?

I have a trufiber hood on my 08. The paint matched really good.. My only concern is hood movement at highway speeds.. Thinking of adding hood pins/locks.Click image for larger version

I have a Cervinis ordered through AM and they are very similar to Trufiber in design, maybe identical. It's the type 4 ram. Excellent quality and came un damaged directly to the body shop that I paid for paint and install. You can order preprinted direct from Cervinis but I wanted the "warranty" treatment AM is known for. I know if I had any issues they would take care of it.
I think it was around $600 for the hood and then $400 for paint and install. The most I've ever spent on one mod but now is my most favorite. Well worth what it does to change your Mustangs overall look.
I don't know if Trufiber is the same but my Cervinis fiberglass hood feels likes it much much heavier than the factory GT hood it replaced. Which doesn't matter to me but it feels solid. I was worried at first about it catching the wind over 100 but it's good to go and no hood pins for me.
I almost got their Stalker 2 hood instead but my wife preferred the Type 4 Ram and I still have to impress my girl

(That huge building in the background is my garage! I am so freakin lucky! And grateful) and if I let my wife drive the Mustang once in a while, I don't have to live in it.

I have the TruFiber A72KR hood. Fits real well for the most part. a VERY subtle curve upwards in middle seen from side but pretty much noone mentions until I point out lol. Looks good. I had to take out air damn because of Airraid / Boss IM combo but thats not on them. I love the look.

No problems with my 3" Trufiber cowl hood. Nice thing is it is double walled for added strength.

My Trufiber looks great, but two big issues I hate that you can't know until you get it.

1. Fitment. It's never perfect fit and my autoshop had to add/subtract to the fiberglass hood to even the lineup gaps along the fenders.

2. Weight. It's heavier than the OEM hood. The gas-powered MMD hood struts that I originally bought from AM didn't hold the weight. On top of that, I bought replacement hood struts from Trufiber's Corona, CA headquarters that the guy there says were specially made for the hood I bought. When I got them in the mail and put them on...guess what? It didn't handle the weight! I called to complain and all they wanted was evidence..."could you take pictures of the product?" "Could you take pictures of the hood?" When they finally asked me... "Could you take a video of the hood with our product to show us it doesn't work?"... Man I just lost my patience with them. Makes me wish I never got the damn hood in the first place. Their customer support sucks and blows big time. I don't recommend them.Click image for larger version

I've never had a Trufiber but every Cervinis hood I've had has been a literally paint and install job. Seeing a few ppl mentioning issues with waves or fitting... eh... stick with a proven winner IMO.
