Exedy Mach 400 Stage 2

Hello everyone, so much clutch started slipping last week and I finally choose a shop to replace it. (vortex Motorsports in Tampa) I told them that I'm planning on doing a lot of stuff to my car in the near future and therefore I would like to get a beefier clutch. My car is a DD but I would definitely be willing tolerate a stuff clutch. They suggested a Exedy Mach 400, I looked on AM and it's rated for 510 ft-lbs at the flywheel.. Will that be enough when I add some sort of forced induction to my car? If not I'm open to suggestions. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

That's what I put in my 98 and what is in a box in the garage waiting to go into my blown 2V. Great clutch, its got a very light pedal feel and really good bite, dead silent like a stocker as well. It will be enough for FI with stock internals.

Awesome, it makes me feel a lot more confident that both of you like the clutch. Thank you very much. Also should I do anything specific when I brake in the clutch?

I've had the Mach 400 clutch in my supercharged 08 for 3 years now. It's daily driven and taken to the track sometimes. Haven't had a problem with it. Has a great feel.

Exedy 400 was suggested to me by lots of others.
I went with McLeod.
Have you considered the McLeod Super Street Pro Clutch,? Supposed to be bullet proof, without complaints during install, & after.
Good Luck!! Greatest feeling to have a flawless working clutch system!
Can't loose with either one~

Get what you pay for, Maybe?
I guess sometimes it don't matter. At first it might not.
One clutch I've been using last 4 years is SPEC. Good stuff!

I heard way too many Spec horror stories to spend the coin to put one in my car. The Exedy was amazing with the 98 and I have another in the box in the garage waiting for me to get the eff off my *** and do this thing.
