2006 fuel problem

Need help on starting, motor starts runs for a few seconds and dies. Fuel is getting to the engine, code says running lean, smell fuel out of tailpipe and engine compartment. Have checked and/or replaced mass air flow sensor, fuel filter, fuel inertia switch, coil pack, crank and camshaft position sensors, fuel pressure sensor, fuel pump. Turned key on let sit 10 minutes no change, checked all parts before and after for proper voltage all have correct power, pressed gas pedal to floor when starting runs and then dies.

I wonder if your o2 sensors could be bad and giving you headaches. Seems like to much for them but who knows

Obviously look for vacuum leaks. What kind of an air intake do you have? Did this all randomly start?

I wouldn't throw your email address up on here. When she gets back pop the hood and try to pinpoint what one it is. After that make sure it is tight.

That is your problem right there then if that is the intake you have. Throw the stock one back on and your problem should go away. Or get a tune of course

Well if you can find a stock intake easy enough throw it on there. If not just buy a tune for it. Should be a fun little car with a tune

If you feel the car is lean that means not enough fuel to the car rich is what makes the car smell a lot like fuel. You check the injectors yet? Spark plugs? And check o2s as well

fuel problem

when you smell fuel out of the tail pipe you are not burning the fuel in one of the cylinders. that causes raw fuel to excape from the tail pipe. check your spark plug wires, sparkplugs. pull a spark plug to check to see if it has a good spark. if not change it or the wires on down until you do. this will plug up your catalytic converter and possibly blow out your muffler orcatalitic converter if they are hot enough.
