06 GT Diff Issue
Okay, need a little help. My 06 GT pony is acting a little crazy. When the diff is cold I have no issues with it, once the diff warms up, after a period of driving, I get a light chatter that can be felt when starting from a standstill (it almost reminds me of a warped clutch) moving in a straight line. Tonight, the diff was warmed up from driving and I started from a standstill, making a right turn from a stop sign, and I got a wicked chatter, surging, and thumping like a gear was skipping on another gear.
I just checked the diff oil and it is filled to the proper level, but I have read about a recall on the 8.8 LS Diffs. My 06 was produced before the updated clutch packs were put in the new ponies.
I am thinking that the recall was never done and my old style clutch packs in the diff went out.
