Question for the 1/4 mile people

I have a Procharged 07' GT putting down 425 to the wheels(automatic). I'm running 28" tall slicks and have 3.73 gears. The car is a weekend/nice weather car, mainly driven on the street. I've had my car to the track and have about 10 passes now. My best 60' has been a 1.91. Identical 1/4 times overall with my 60' ranging from 2.01 to 1.91. It's been suggested that I either run a high stall converter or get a 26" tire to get out of the hole quicker. Anybody try the shorter tires with success? I'm a little Leary of the converter for street ability. Any other suggestions?

Converter and a tune for it will be what you want. Shorter tires arent going to help too much. Drivability will be fine. I have had several cars with higher stall converters and loved every one of them.

^^ I Agree, I've got a TCI 3000 Torque Converter and the thing launches amazing. Daily driving is not a problem with it. Only when going to launch will it really effect your car, if your looking for a quicker 60' time then go with it. Really easy to install too if you don't mind dropping the tranny.
