Comp Cam Swap/ Tools

Just bought a set of Comp Cams NSR cams for my 06 GT.

Looking at the tools required seems that they will cost at least $100, but I should only need to use them once.

Does anyone out there have a 3V valve spring compressor and timing chain locking wedge they are willing to rent out?

I am located in Mooresville NC.

Thanks!

I did the install without either. You can wedge the chain with a garden hose and as long as you are careful you dont need the compressor either

Looks like the valve tool is for only a few valves, how did you do it without the tool?

cam change

I think he's talking about loosening the bearing caps or top of the bearing housing bolts evenly. then lifting the cam up off the bearing bottom with the caps removed.

If you do want the chain wedge go to freedom racing. they had the tool for like $30 instead of like 100+
