Charge motion delete plates

I'm contemplating buying some charge motion delete plates that go up under the intake manifold. These plates are the stock ones modified. They have had the butterfly removed will this serve the same purpose as the steeda ones? Should I stay away from these modified ones?Click image for larger version

I considered the same a few months ago, and found some used ones on eBay. My concern was the material that was used to fill the butterfly shaft holes, and whether it could work its way loose. If that little bit of JB Weld or whatever was used fell into the cylinder, it could cost you an engine. I figured it wasn't worth the $100 savings to take the risk and bought the Steeda's through AM.

There are lots of threads on installing CMDP's and others reviews. I installed these at the same time as I did a full tune-up and new BAMA tune, so it's hard to tell. It felt smoother off the line with consistent delivery, but again I'm not sure of the exact cause of the change. I'd spend my money elsewhere if I were to do it again. I would have probably gone with gears instead.
