Headers- Short Tube worth the work?

I am about to install a set of Comp Cams NSR cams and really love the sound of my Magna Flow X pipe and mufflers, the question is are shorty headers worth the time to install?

OR do I bite the bullet and get long tube headers with a new X pipe with cats? Looking at BBK for the parts.

I already have a Steeda Cold Air kit and 4.10s gears, it's an auto.

Just bought a BAMA Tuner with lifetime tunes so thinking I will
be getting my money out of that!

OK what about H pipe vs. X pipe? I really like the growl from the Magna Flow X pipe...

H vs x is all sound preference. Sounds like you like the sound of an x.

Kooks long tube and catted H pipe sounds like old muscle car, that is what I run, love it. I am also running Brenspeed cams and 4:10 gears

Yeah a h- pipe will give it more of a muscle car sound, x-pipe= nascar sound. I went with the x pipe but I prefer the h-pipe. x pipe flow's slightly better so there is the potential to pick up a few extra hp. But most will sacrifice a few Hp for the muscle car sound.

What BennyHill said. H to me sounds way better but you might lose a handful of horses with it. I've gladly sacrificed the hp for my offroad H

shorty headers are great with turbos and superchargers. Long tube headers I think are the way to go unless you plan to turbo the car.
