Worth painting my car?

Im curious to know what I should do, I have a 2008 mustang gtcs that has 100k on it and has a rebuilt title, I want to sell it this summer but my question is, is it worth it to buy a new bumper for it and have it painted for $600 or should I just leave the old bumper that has small cracks and peeling paint?

What's the car worth in your area?

The car is in Washington state, and there are only 3 other GTCS for sale, including Canada, Oregon and Idaho, all of them are listed for over 18k and mine is the only white one

I have only ever seen 1 from that generation in this area. I would replace the bumper personally

How badly is it cracked? You would be amazed what the correct 3m plastic glue and some sanding can do. You might be able to avoid the new bumper and just pay for the paint job.

Rebuilt title is going to have a serious effect on the price and sell-ability. I wouldn't replace the bumper if your intentions are to sell it, you'll never recoup the costs. A GT/CS in white with a rebuilt title and 100k miles shouldn't bring more than 13k or 14k. Its a facelift and a generation outdated at this point, if it was a Shelby you'd have stronger selling points but the GT/CS was mostly just a spring, muffler and visual upgrade.

Any good body guy can and will fix that before prep and paint. I wouldn't buy a new bumper at all based on those issues. Painting it and fixing it in my opinion might not get you a higher return, but I believe it will make the car sell easier, faster and eliminate the dick head who points out every tiny flaw and wants to beat you down on the price.

What's wrong with finding flaws to negotiate a better price? Lol I live by it.

Nothing when you are on that side of it. But when you are the seller trying to get the most for your pride and joy, having people beat you down and point out small things that they themselves will never worry about just to get you down on the price is no fun. So eliminate that and the experience is better for all involved
