Unhappy new tranny problem

I just had my tranny replaced with a rebuilt 3650. Since the tranny was installed my car has started bucking and jerking and feels like it is being held back. The tranny works great. The spark plugs are new as are the injectors, o2 sensors, and no vacuum leaks. The car was fine before the tranny install, but started having the problems right after. Any help would be appreciated.

So is it at a certain speed it does this or is it only when accelerating and is the check engine light on?

Check to make sure all 4 O2s got plugged back in properly, check the engine compartment to make sure nothing got bumped or moved vac line or wiring wise.

Was the clutch done too?

I have checked all 4 o2 sensors and they are clean and installed. The clutch was replaced because I upgraded from the 10 spline to 26 spline(i think thats right) and upgraded to an exedy mach 400 clutch. Ive gone over the car the best I know how and found no vacuum leaks. the injectors are only a month or two old and can hear them pulsing with mechanics ears. the spark plugs and fuel filter both are only a week old.

Is your throttle body clean along with your MAF sensor? You may also want to see if your IAC isn't damaged or that it's working properly

I cleaned the maf sensor with CRC MAF cleaner but not the throttle body. Not exactly sure where the iac is located. the car seems to idle fine, under load is when the bucking happens. the car tends to backfire on decel

The IAC is on the throttle body. I'm trying to think of anything else that would cause it to do that while driving. All speeds and it always does it...so weird it has to be something stupid

He said none as of yet so that's why I can't figure it out unless it is a brake caliper that is sticking or something?

If the gears in the new tranny are different than the gears in the stock unit, would that cause such a thing? Since I don't get any codes, maybe its a ecu thing. I was told to return the car to stock, disconnect the battery, and let the carsit for 30 minutes. Then load the tune, start the car and let it run for a few minutes, then drive it but that didnt help either. I would think if it was a sensor or something it would set a code, but it hasn't. I have no idea!

I not for sure but I'm just now remembering you saying that you upgraded from a 10 spline to 26 spline but I thought you would need a different trans that has that type of output spline so maybe you needed a 10 spline clutch kit and maybe that's why it doesn't feel right.

the new trans was built with an upgraded 26 spline output shaft, thats why I had to switch to a 26 spline clutch.

Oh ok, yea I was just trying to think of something it could be ha ha, I'm a mechanic and I'm trying to think of any other reason it could be doing this and you are sure you don't have a warped rotor or and caliper that is sticking?

Damn man, the only thing I can think of is maybe cleaning your throttle body and maf again. But I would think it would throw a code if it was that bad. So you had no issues before the tranny rebuild and clutch replacement? Maybe the clutch didn't get aligned correctly or maybe something with the rear differential?

Im not sure whats going on. Im going to order a new throttle body with a new tps sensor. I would like to take the car somewhere to get it diagnosed, but in savannah georgia, I get screwed every time. Nobody wants to actually diagnose anything, they just guess and throw parts at it. Hell, I can do that. If anyone knows of a place around the savannah georgia area (not in savannah) that is worth the tine , let me know. Thanks for the help guys.

Hey I wouldn't buy a new throttle body just clean it man, but I've thinking and it honestly just seems like the clutch is your problem, just have to get another adjustment with it or something

With as many sensors are on these things, I would think I would get a MIL or something. I would settle for an explosion at this point.

Maybe fuel pump or filter?
Only time mine bucks is when I get off the highway after a long drive. Theres a tsb for the fuel pump.
Yours sounds like that symptom. Anyone know if a bad fuel pump posts a code?

I would think any kind of issue relating to fuel or air that a code would pop, if I remember right the filter is with the pump but I could be wrong about it being the pump....this issue is difficult to diagnose without seeing the car to know for sure what it is doing since no codes are coming up

The fuel filter is new, as in a week old. It was my first thought when this started. The MAF sensor is in the same way it was in before this started. You just never know with cars these days with all this electronic b.s.. Gonna try to check the fuel pump and the catalytic converters this weekend. Its hard to find anyone here to trust in this city, been burned by almost everyone who has touched my car here. All I can do is hope i get this fixed before it destroys my engine. Thanks for all the feed back. Gonna keep trying.
