Cmcv plates and cams
I've been running ford racing hot rod cams for a while now and everything was good up until recently. I had the normal surging below like 1500 rpm which is fine because I never drive at those rpm anyway. Recently i installed cmcv plates and loaded up a bama tune and the jerking and surging is way more pronounced and last until about 2300 rpm. I suspected tune issues (after i removed the manifold again to triple check gaskets and leaks). I went through data logging with bama and the response i got was that my issues are because of the cams. I had the cams for some time without this issue and it only became worse with the plates installed. Does this make sense that the increased low end airflow would decrease low end drivability? Has anyone else experienced this? I'm guessing my only legitimate option is to put the factory plates back on and sell the steeda plates.. 😩
