SCT Tuner

Hello,

I have recently purchased a 2009 Mustang GT. Its a beauty and has been beautifully taken care of. However, I have one dilemma; I purchased the car with small modifications (intake/exhaust). It also came with a BAMA/SCT tuner. The dealer (small family dealer) said that he is sure that particular tuner is for my car. (it has already been tuned)

What I am asking is how can I know my tuner is for my car? I already checked the device info and saw it has "custom tunes" loaded in it. The tunes are for the octane ratings (87, 89, and 93) However, there are no indications that it is for my specific car. The last thing I want to do is load in the 93 tune and damage something.
The device says it was purchased and loaded by SCT.

If there is any more information I can add to help in answering this question, let me know.... the device says there are still 5 unlocking attempts available, and there is nothing under device information that says "married or unmarried".

I have already searched, but everyone I have found says "I bought a used tuner, how to make it work for my car"... Should I follow the same steps and buy more tunes for my car?

What device is it? And what model number is it?

So, is there a way to identify it is tuned for my car?.. I mean, I have some confidence it really is for my car because of how well its been maintained and all the original parts are still with it. However, I would feel more secure if there was a way to verify. Is it possible to call Bama and have them identify what car my tuner is for?

If it's a 3015 it should carry some
Canned tunes but if it's a 3000 that was meant for dealers. Then it will only have custom tunes in it. So they would have been made for that specific car with those mods.

In general it's better to just buy a newer x4 #7015 that will carry the canned tunes. I don't know much about the bama tuners all that much. You need to know if it's a model 3000 or 3015.

Should have a sticker stuck to the back of it.

All that is on the back is a sticker with the serial number. Nothing that says 3000, or 3015.
