New to 3valve forum

Hello,
I just "upgraded" from a 2014 3.7 to a 2006 GT and wanted to introduce myself to this subforum. I have some ideas about what I want to do with it, but nothing yet. It's bone stock other than racing stripes the previous owner (my father) put on. There is probably a thread for this already, but what are some good mods most people do to these cars?

Differential gears and tune will wake these cars up. I believe the power band for these GTs are higher in the RPMs so gears will help you get there faster.

What's the VIN to the GT? I might be able to look up a basic version of it's window sticker.

Other good mods are wheels/tires, suspension, short throw shifter, exhaust, and 1 piece driveshaft.

That will get you started to unlocking the potential of your beast.

Of course, there is a lot more you can do but I wanted to break you in easy.

Since it's a manual, 3.73 gears might do you good. The lower you go (4.10, etc), the sooner you will have to keep shifting.

With the 4.6 3v I would probably go with 4.10's if you want to really feel it. You may already have 3.55's and you won't notice much going to 3.73's.

Definetly gears(I went w 3.73's) and a tune. Those were my first mods on my 05 GT and it really makes a big difference. Just make sure you get someone that really knows how to install them. Hope u enjoy your "new" GT! ๐Ÿ‘

Here's how I would make the call with gears. See what you have now if you have 3.31's you have a decision to make between 3.73's and 4.10's if you have 3.55's go to 4.10's. The difference between 3.55's and 3.73's is not big enough to warrant the expense and feel much difference.

For these old 4.6's don't fear the gear, go 4.10.

4.10s, full exhaust, cams, full suspension, and tune. One of my favorites:

While all of these sound like a lot of fun, I'll probably stay with more moderate mods for now. I do a lot of freeway driving, so I doubt gears are in my future.

On a different topic, is it possible to adjust the clutch in this car? The clutch engages in the top 30% of the pedal, which makes driving it....weird
