Engine check light on

Hi Guys...hope you can help...my engine check light goes on but car is running fine...its a 2008 GT (4.6) with Ford Racing Tune...when I change tune this message comes up on dash...DTE ODO error data...tunes change fine and the car is running really well its just this bloody light!!!...tried getting help here in UK but they are all over the place with their suggestions...lol...the guys who know best are you so that's why I'm here...and Ford are useless in the UK with Mustangs...cheers gents

You need to read the code. That will tell you wants wrong.

thanks for reply...had a code reader on it last week and I'm pretty sure it was PO606, which kinda told me nothing really

If I understand correctly, you are running a custom tune? Can you go back to stock and see if the code clears?

yeah I put back to stock and light still goes on after a couple of cycles...really strange...I know our gas is different to yours (see the way I used gas not petrol...lol..I'm learning) but it seems to make no difference whatever grade I put in...only thing not stock is the loudmouth exhaust...petrol caps good...really strange

check engine light answer

it could very well be your OB2 sensors bad or going bad. my car was like that for 4 years and no one could figure it out. so i finally changed a bad sensor and no more check engine and my car is just fine. I drive an 2001 convertible mustang. It still runs beautifully.
