dyno numbers normal or did steeda mess up??

Hello, i have a 2005 mustang gt with following mods:
ford racing manifold.
steeda cai. tune required with bigger mass air flow.
bbk throttle body
bbk throttle body spacer
bbk shorty headers
bbk underdrive pulleys
muther thumper stage 2 cams
4.10 gear.
stage 2 spec clutch
sct x4 tuner
full exhaust with cats and ford racing mufflers
short throw shifter.
so i go to steeda.ca in toronto canada to get my car dyno tuned and also for them to install the ford racing intake. Prior to this the car used to spinout 1st and 2nd gear easy. previous owner sayed car was dyno tuned at 337rwhp , without throttle body and ford racing intake. Just get car back from steeda and mustang dyno says im gettin 315rwhp and 266tq. I am so dissapointed i wasnt expecting this at all, i cant even really spin tires, did steeda mess up my tune???

Few of your mods aren't helping your 3V. Also did you say if it was on a mustang dyno to get 337?

so what do you suggest, dont you think my numbers are a little down???
yes thats what he told me . either 327 or 337. regardless look at my TQ it is super low. and before i picked up car i remember the manager saying he was having problems trying to find a tune for my car to idle properly cause it was always stalling. im really concerned about my TQ. car has no pull and lots of work done to it plus the 410 gears it should put me right in my seat. im trying to find my dyno sheet so i can post it to you

It might be on a more conservative tune. Then I'd look into some better cams and longtubes.

ok thanks the manager told me to plug in tuner and return car to stock, to see if i get more power on that setting and if so than its a tune related issue. I dont know if i should do that. would i lose my dyno tune??

That's what I was thinking. That would make a mess out of things in today's computer controlled world.

He told me to see if there was a power increase on the stock tune but not to revv past 5000rpm. And if there was more power then it's a tune issue

I doubt the rep on the phone has even considered your cams. The lift and variation is completely different now. The car should not run, or barely run with a stock tune.

Perhaps, when they say "stock" they are referring to the tune that the car had when you brought it in to them?
Do you still have that tune?

They should have dynoed first with the tune you had when you brought it in, then retune it on the dyno to compare numbers first. Thought most places did that. If you still have that tune, load it in if you can.

Do you know who did the other tune? There is a chance it was a more aggressive tune and had more power but wasn't as conservative. From what I've ready bigger companies like AM and steeda are more conservative because they don't want customers cars blowing up left and right.

Again, just because you get an aggressive tune doesn't mean the car is going to blow just if its not precisely dialed in your more likely to have issues.

I actually talked to the owner of steeda.ca today and we figured out what was going on. There wasn't any tune issues . Actually the car was performing better than he expected. I just wasn't too educated on the mods I was adding. But all in all the car is performing great and now I'm well informed on what to expect . It was very professional and respectful for the actual owner to call me himself and resolve the issue. I'm very satisfied with the customer service from steeda.ca. they went out of there way for me to make sure I was satisfied. Thanks steeda!!!

Excellent news! Glad it all worked out for you. I love Steeda, most of my mods are from them and I'm satisfied thus far. They Rock!

I am the original owner of this car. The dyno numbers were 330 and 328.i don't remember which was TQ over HP. I got in touch with my dyno guy and am expecting a copy of the dyno numbers. My brother had a 2008 corvette zhz and my mustang was beside him on take off and highway! I would race mustangs supercharged and they couldn't believe I was beside them. Anyone with a modded mustang and half a brain knows their is something wrong with this car. He had the straight pipes remove added catalytic converters and removed the dyno tune to pass inspection. Clearly the car is not running well. And my numbers were before the throttle body and under drive pulleys. Search the car up on my instagram at Anthony damato and you will see how it sounded. Their was no issues before. That car was a monster with the 4.10 gears burning out 1st and 2nd even with the brand new Michelin pilot super sports in the back!

screeching tires isn't something to brag about. It just means you will be slower and you need better tires for the power lol
