After a lot of research it seems the general consensus is that the GT 500 axel-backs re the best to tame any sort of catless midpipe setup making it loud when you want it but still comfortable to drive daily. However I can't seem to find this muffler type for a 2006 stang. Do they even make GT500 style mufflers for an 06 stang or is it only the 2011-recent. If they don't make it would there be something similar?
Ahhh ok thanks for the quick reply. Since they don't make a pair of GT 500 axelbacks specifically for the 2006 mustang would someone possibly still be able to get another years model to fit on my 06 or would that not work out?
Yep kr mufflers sound awesome, have them on my 06. Tried 2 others first but the drone... couldn't hear the wife and kids. Depending on your situation this might be a + or -
The GT500 stock mufflers up until the 2010 model year were nothing special. They were simply the same as those used on the GT with an automatic. In 2010 the GT500 got it's own muffler set up.
