Feels like clutch is harder to grab when ac is on.

I know ac takes power but it feels like the clutch grabs completely different when it's on and i have to ride it a little bit longer. I had an 04 for auto and always used ac but when I drive my 05 gt manual i always have to turn ac off because it rides like crap.

Anyway to fix this to use ac?

Weird issue. You sure you don't have a charging issue instead of clutch issue? I mention that just because you said it rides like crap with a.c. on

I have a similar issue. The ride isn't as smooth as it is with the AC off.

I have no idea what that could be other than I guess a charge issue that someone else mentioned (unlikely in my opinion but I've got nothing better) but I wonder if it would improve if you slapped underdrive pulleys on it?

Nothing is improved by using underdrive pulleys.

I think the AC just causes engine revs to drop a little faster between gears. By shifting too leisurely, you get poorer matching of the shaft speeds and it can be a bit jerkier as a result. The problem, if you can really call it that, goes away with quicker shifting or a little rev-matching between gears.

Could be a seized clutch/compressor that takes a ton more effort for the engine to spin than it should.
