Help stock airbox

I got a new stock air tube and airbox for my 2005 mustang gt. After I installed it, the car would try to start but then fails? Why?

Did you plug everything in? Did you re-use the same MAF? Did you make sure all vac hoses are hooked up? Sounds like an install error tbth.

I did plug everything correctly, but I do have the pcv hose from this old jlt cai and not the stock hose, i wonder if that could be it

As long as there are no vacuum leaks, the PCV hose is probably fine.
Did you remove the MAF sensor from the JLT and install it into the stock air box?

And have you tried unplugging the MAF sensor, and then try to start the engine?

I don't think that the tune would be that different for a simple CAI, but any chance that there is a different tune on the car that is incompatible with the new setup?
