Hi, brand new here.

Can anyone tell me where I can buy a factory service manual? We just bought a 2006 Mustang, Lime green, 4.0L SOHC. I do all my own work as I am a mechanic and an aircraft mechanic. I don't like to work on cars unless I have the real factory manual, not a Chilton's. Any help would be appreciated.

Paul

Here's a photo of it.

Re: Hi, brand new here.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was wondering if anyone might have bought one at a website or something.

Re: Hi, brand new here.

eBay Motors: Ford 2006 Mustang Repair Shop Service Manual (item 390024474118 end time Feb-14-09 14:48:09 PST)

http://www.autorepairmanuals.biz/sit...uct/FCS1219306

and you could always go to a ford dealership, hopefully that helps.

Re: Hi, brand new here.

Can anyone tell me how to upload a photo for an avatar? I have used TIFF, JPEG, PhotoBucket, all small. I have done this before on other forums but for the life of I can't remember how I did it. Whenever I try I get a failure message.

Re: Hi, brand new here.

there is a pixel limit for the avatar. however if you wanted to put the picture of your stang on the bottom of each text, you go to the control panel, then edit signature, then signature picture, and follow from there. if it is too big for that, open your picture in microsoft paint, and crop it, ie remove the road and sky, basicly anything nonessential to the photo you want, then make sure u save it as a jpeg. and you should be good.

Re: Hi, brand new here.

94 LT1, auto, 350, 300 horse, totally restored by me from the ground up. Put Nine grand into it and "zero timed" it out. (Aircraft lingo)

That's why I am going to buy the factory service manual for the Mustang. I like to know how to take something apart properly. You can always tell when someone else didn't. This Mustang is a nice car. She got the Pony package. From what I hear, the color isn't too common. But she loves it and you know what they say, "If mama ain't happy..."

Re: Hi, brand new here.

Thank you, and thank YOU for serving our country as a Marine. My uncle was a Marine and my cousin who is my age is retired from the Corps. DAL has a LOT of ex-military people, including Marines. In fact, I'd say 99% are former military who became avionics techs with them. If you want to get in with the majors do the best you can to get your A&P and FCC. You will get hired in a second, even now with this economy as a lot of older guys are retiring and they ALWAYS need comm techs!

Best of luck to you.

Re: Hi, brand new here.

Your welcome and Godspeed man.

I saw a bumper sticker on a rollaway toolbox at work one day, it went something like this, "The Marines, when it absolutely, positively has to be destroyed overnight." I thought that was cool. Out of all the services and I was in the Air Force, I respect the Marines the most. At work the esprit de corp was the tightest among the Marines. Those jarheads were a tough lot and once a Marine, always a Marine.
