Naturally Aspirated

I am looking for advice on what I can do horsepower wise and stay naturally aspirated 2008 Gt. I am looking to stay below the $6000.00 range in doing this. I have tried to research this but haven't found much in the way of help. I would like to get the 350 to 375 in horsepower but not sure it can be done. I was thinking about trying full exhaust including long tubes, cold air and maybe a mild cam. Any suggestion in this area would be appreciated.

Ummm...you can't link someone to your own shopping cart....it will appear as empty as it is user specific.

Copy and paste the parts list from your car over here though....it's a great idea to point him in the right direction.

well it's like this
LTs=10-20hp
CAI=1-5hp
without a power adder, or high comp. the TB=0hp-with cams=10hp
tune=10-15hp
free flow exhaust=10hp
intake delete plates=1-5hp

pretty much...the right tuner can get more than 15hp,and those numbers start increasing when you add more to them, the longtubes help more with the cams.

Re: Naturally Aspirated

Thanks for all the help but I have a question, this may sound stupid but what is CAI, still trying to learn abriveations, and with the mods listed by several how would this effect reliability.

Cold Air Intake...and your reliability would be no different than stock with any of those parts.

Re: Naturally Aspirated

itll just get a little worse gas mileage, still streetable though.the tune has alot to do with it, the shaker hood wont give you jack sh** for power trust me, a wind tunnel will show why, they dont even grab forced air.

Re: Naturally Aspirated

Cold air intakes help because there is less restriction ie better filter and less obstructions in the piping.

I thought that they would( i talked to a guy with one and he said it added like 80hp lol) , my bad. well **** taking that off the list will cover his cams. so he is still like 1500 under his budget.... im thinking Heads would be a good idea with that.

Re: Naturally Aspirated

power to cost ratio he would get more just doing a blower and tune.

for under 6k you are more than doubling the power you would get staying N/A and going with forced induction. just my .02

The only reason is for reliability less long term maintenance cost ans wear on the car. I plan on keeping my car for the long term.

Re: Naturally Aspirated

I would like to super charge my car but this is my daily driver, I'm not sure what the maintenance cost would be with one. I was hopping the running naturally would be less maintenance cost in the long term. Like I have stated I want to keep my mustang for the long term, love this years body style and the interior look, reminds me of all the muscle care I have seen growing up in that time.
