Procharger & Tuning

Okie.. bought my procharger from a guy that had it on an 06. Picked it up super cheap plus it was just freshly rebuilt from procharger. Well we got it installed and ready to put the diablo programmer on it and well then it wouldnt work. It wont recognize my car since the tune is for a 06..and the 08's didnt exsist then. Procharger cant send a tune for it soo now were having to have it dyno tuned. We have an appointment with Doug @ bama chips to do it in Huntsville saturday but my husband just got an arseload of work with a contractor he cant avoid and now were having to cancel saturday and push the date back and then we gotta take the car down to dougs shop. We originally intended on putting the car on a trailor and hauling it down but some people have told us to just put the stock fuel injectors in and then pull the belt off the blower or jsut pull one of the hoses so the supercharger wont be pushing any air into the engine in too large an amount. Anyone heard of anything like this? Trying to decide before we jump and mess something up. I just dont wanna mess anything up.

Re: Procharger & Tuning

Should work a buddy of mine beens running around with his S/C setup without the belts with no problem The supercharger belt is connected to the crank pulley and the supercharger pulley only. At least on his Nothing else is hooked up to it so you can run the car

Mods-K&N CAI , True Dual Flowmaster 40, BBK Ceramic Shorties, 3.73 , 25% UDP, 3/8 Phenolic Intake Spacer ,Steeda Tri-ax, SCT Chip/Dyno Tune

Re: Procharger & Tuning

What tuner are y'all planning on using as well? Doug should be able to email you a tune to get you going for now with the belt off and the upgraded injectors...and then y'all can get the car there for the full out tune.
