Ghia troubles

Hey im new to this place and im looking for some info. My 77 Mustang Ghia's signal lights works fine when the heater is off or sometimes when its on low, but turn up the heat and it stops immediately. Im trying to fix it up myself and want to put off having to go to a mechanic for as long as possible. does anyone have an idea about what might be the problem and how i could fix it??

Re: Ghia troubles

hmm if you can get a wire tester on the wires that power the signals you can determine if they are getting the power they need to turn on. You can pick up a little tester for really cheap, basically its a screw driver looking thing with a light in the handle~ ground the top part of it and stick the power end on a potential "hot" wire and if its hot it will light up.

This may allow you to trace the problem.
