6 to 8

i have just recently picked up a 302 for my car. its a 1965 mustang. what do i need to do as far as motor mounts and suspersion any help would be great

You'll need a 302 wiring harness (its only 4 wires I think, you could probably make one if you find a diagram). You will also need 302 motors mounts - Advanced Auto can order them for you, they are pretty cheap. You'll also need to mate your old transmission to the 302, so you'll need a new bellhousing and maybe some other stuff (what trans do you have?) You will probably also need a new throttle linkage. The springs and shocks are stiffer in the front and v8 cars had 5 lug spindles.

i have a c4 trans the block will fit in the same spot as where the block sits now. i also have another problem. every time i turn on my bright lights my lights blink and do retarded things. i have changed every thing but the harness any suggestions

Yeah, the block should fit in the same spot. I don't know what to say about your lights other than replacing the harness.
