1968 Mustang Seat Belts

I just had these 3 point seat belts installed! They worked out great!

I bought the reproduction set (the installation instructions are crap and try to have you hack at your car)

Then we modified them to make them like the stock 3 point seat belts

The upper shoulder connect that goes to the roof should be a fixed point (had to modify)
And the female connector should be a very short fixed point (had to modify)

Next the retractor and male connector were mounted to the door side floor

There were no holes drilled in the car for this, I used only the stock seat belt holes

It's so much better and cleaner than the repo-instructions

I just wanted to show it off!

Not at all, it actually passes over the shoulder perfectly

my only mistake was shortening the passenger side belt a little too much, it buckles, but you can't move the seat all the way forward. I should have given it more slack. The drivers side is fine

nice, my passenger side has no little hanger (got to put it back on) so its annoying but my drivers side is ok through its hoop.

What little hanger? Are you talking about the roof attachment for the seat belt?

well in my case the little hoop on the seat~ mine is a convertible so the place where it goes back into the body is down a bit from the seat back

Ohh okay got ya, yeah I kept putting these off too, it's better to fix it than be sorry when it's too late I figured.

Hopefully no big people will want to cruise around with me, if so they'll be in the back where the belts have plenty of slack
