Oil and gas for 66 with 289

Just purchased a 66 coupe 289 original motor. Is there any special oil to use or any lead additives or octane booster for fuel? Thanks

I wouldn't use synthetic oil, has a tendency to find a way out on the older motors, and doesn't hurt to run lead fuel additive every month

Yeah do not use any synthetic oil or you will have more leaks than a water bed that Freddy Cougar slept in. I dunno maybe a thicker weight oil should be good like a 10w40. As for fuel I think I would use premium.

I use premium ethanol free gas with lead addative. I also use valvoline vr1 race oil as it has extra zinc in it. Hasn't failed me yet.

Thanks for the input. I had heard something of the zinc in a particular oil. That's what I was looking for......
