lead joint at rear quarter roofline.

I am doing a full restore on my 68 coupe and would like to fill the c pillar seam with lead like it originally was... I bought the body solder kit from Eastwood and was wondering if there are any pointers for filling in such a big seam. Especially to keep the lead from running down when its heated..has anyone here ever done this?
