New to here and Pics of my 68

To start off with I have owned this car since 1983 and took it off the road in 1994 because some one hit me in the rear. There is no rust just a dented right rear quarter. I have a friend that will weld a new skin on it. I moved from WA state in 2005 to Ohio in the winter, so I did not tow it with me at that time. I left it at my brothers house. It is one of the last 289's came off the line Jan 21st 1968. Not pretty right now but it will be when I head out there to get it this summer and get it in my garage and start the restore. I have got the permission form the LOML to get a new Shelby GT so I am going to wait until the 2013's come out and see what a convertible will cost. Anyway Howdy All

Welcome. I to a, just getting started. Got my 68 from a neighbor that lost his will to play with it. I've got a pretty good jump on it, but my son and I are gonna take our time tearing it down and building it up. We originally thought it would be his daily, when he gets his license, but after a lot of research, we just gonna hot rod it up and have fun on the weekends with it.

Anyways, welcome and don't forget to add valuable info from time to time.
He named the pony "Junior" for my cousin who just passed away. The 68 mustang was his favorite.
Coincidentally, he passed away the same day I picked the car up... In different states though...

Here's a pic...

Yes... I keep forgetting to look though... Trick is gonna find better rims...
I saw some tricked out rims that resemble the old crager rims, but more aggressive...

I have those same original hub caps. I took them off because they kept rolling off and it adds a good stock car look.
