Do you have a multi meter? If so with the Car running read the voltage at the battery it should be about 14 volts. If not the regulator or the alternator before you put another alternator in it I would replace the regulator. Here is a little write up on what and how to check.

Good luck

Mlarv5,
Thanks for the advise.
I just found problem... This is what I should have done from the start.. checked wires one by one and there it was. Loose cable.. well, now I have a new alternator and regulator. Thanks
