Get a nice 8 or ten inch sub. They put out good sound if in the right box and it won't be over doing it

Yeah it should only take 1 sub unless you want to be heard around the block

+1 to the single sub. And a 10 will be good as long as its a powerful 10". My single 12"is almost too much for me and I'm 17...

Re: 66 mustang subwoofer

Thanks for the advice. I'm 17 as well but i'm not really looking for a huge bumping system. I just had one in my truck and it was too much haha. But what brand would y'all recommend?

JL or any of their sub brands are good, and yea these old cars are real "loose" not all if gone through properly but most. If your bumping it it's going to rattle most likely. I always say just get some really nice speakers and even they can make cars rattle. Just my 2 cents, it's your car so you have to live with it though

Does alot of the sound leave the car? Like did you put any sound deadening material around it?

Hey coty, I'm just about to install a new system in my 67 fastback. In personally going to wait before I spend money on a sub, for now just a new radio a couple 5 1/4's in front and a couple of 6x9's in the back. If I do put a sub in I will put a 10" with a med size box. That's what I have in my 99 wrangler. Mtx amp and Mtx 10" sub!! It sounds amazing and not to expensive. You start putting too much bass in that stang it's gonna get real getto real quick! Good luck.

See that's not bad, even my wife that knows nothing about cars has told me that it don't matter what old muscle car you got.....the moment you start blasting that system, you become the biggest deuch bag!! So for once in my life I'll listen to her! Lol

Trade?? To come to Montreal?? You're nuts!! Look the restaurants are amazing and we got beautiful women, but when you gotta put your car away for 6 months cause of winter...it's so depressing. I love Cali...PCH, mammoth, the beaches...sunset blvd! The weather!!!

You do have a point! It's not all that bad, and I do have a 99 wrangler for all seasons. Mud terrain tires, snorkel, a nice setup. We just got about a ft of snow 2 days ago. I'll post a pic of my truck.
