Sounds fair as long as its in great shape. Take a knowlegable friend with you. First moment I saw my 01GT I couldn't say no. I went through the actions of checking it out but I was pretending I just wanted it! I payed exactly the same price and fortunately it turned out good. Point is, take a friend because ur judgment may get clowded.
Now, what do u mean "classic"? When I think of classic, I think of like a 69 or something.

Yea way too much for a v6. Look on Craig's and see how much they go for. In my area San Fran Cali they go for 2,500-4,000. A gt is more like 5k plus

Honestly I looked for that year for a while and studied them well, if I was to actually buy one, first of all I wouldn't buy a v6 but that's me and I wouldn't pay more than 5k for a gt. So a v6 I would say definitely no more than 4, it's just not worth it at all, cars drop so fast in value now because new models are always coming out. You can get a decent 05 up v6 for 7 now
