Drums to discs conversion....

I got a good one for you guys, I'm just about to sell my 94 crown Victoria and I had an idea! How possible would it be to convert my 67 fb drum brake system to the 4 wheel discs that are on the crown Vic?? The only reason I'm asking is I know that conversion kits are pretty expensive and I figured it might be more cost effective to keep the crown Vic and use what I can on it.

Well my old man and I used an 8.8 out of a fox body on my 70 that had all the disc brakes setup on it already. All we had to do was move the spring perches and and use the drive shaft retainer off the fox body and then bought the brake lines for the fox body rear end and we had a pretty cheap disc brake conversion.

That could be an option for back brakes. You could just swap out the whole rearend as long as its not too wide.

Thanks for the info and advice, I just don't want to get rid of my crown Vic knowing that I can use its setup! For a such a giant/heavy vehicle it stops on a dime with those discs. I'll run it by my mechanic soon. Thanks again!
